The face of hunger is changing before our eyes. Hungry All Year Long, in coordination with NeighborImpact, will be promoting a major food and funds drive that includes all of Central Oregon.
The communities that will benefit from the Hungry All Year Long program include – Bend, Redmond, Sisters, LaPine, Sunriver, Prineville, Madras, Terrebonne and Crooked River. All of the food items that are collected in each community will benefit that particular community. Donation spots will be located in many business locations which can be downloaded by clicking here. In addition to business locations, be sure to check our calendar for several events during the month of June that will also be collecting food.
The goal of Hungry All Year Long is to collect 20,000 lbs of food, but don’t forget that for every dollar we collect NeighborImpact can purchase 6 lbs of food, so we are also accepting monetary donations through PayPal. Click the PayPal Donate button below to make a monetary donation:

2007 marked the launch of the Hungry All Year Long program which was the dream of Laura George. With Laura’s tenacity and drive Hungry All Year Long not only surpassed her goal of 7,000 pounds of food, but actually brought in a total of 13,350 pounds of food from over 100 locations.
In an effort to expand the program and community involvement Laura knew she would need some help, so invited Pat Leahy of SendOutCards and Danielle Snow of John L. Scott-Bend to act as her Co-Chairs. This June-2009 will showcase several hundred donation sites all over Central Oregon with a goal of 20,000 lbs of food.
Team Leaders and volunteers will be coordinating with donation locations to drop off donation boxes and pick up and deliver the food items to the local food pantries in the communities as they are collected.
